About
fuzion is a niche business owned and operated by Peter Davis and Jenny-Kaye Potaka along with a team of collaborators brought together for specific projects.
Peter Davis
Peter has worked in politics, communications and research. His passion is helping organisations and businesses develop and implement the strategies that will help them achieve there mission more effectively.
"It's about helping business and organisations that are 'doing good' do it better."
Peter has been a communications manager in the not-for-profit sector and has considerable experience in advocacy and research related to environmental and sustainability issues. He also has a strong background in writing for public consumption, both for the web, newsletters and books.
Jenny-Kaye Potaka
Jenny has a background in small business advisory work, advocacy, campaigning, and social marketing. She has worked closely with several of the Green MPs on their campaigns and has been project manager for Living Streets Aotearoa.
Eileen McNaughton
Eileen has a put-my-hand-to-anything type of IT background, having worked as a Domain Administrator in a multi-sited Windows environment before moving into a role as a Network Engineer at a telco.
Her web development career began through setting up a joomla e-commerce site for her own business and then setting up Drupal / CiviCRM for Wellington Circus Trust.
Since then she has become a sought-after person within the CiviCRM community particularly for her work with Payment Processors and Event Aggregate Search. Her greatest IT talent stems from having worked in administration first and having a commitment to documentation, developing processes, and contributing to and organising existing knowledge. Her knowledge of accounts & accounting systems has also proven beneficial in the context of civiCRM and our project of integrating it with Xero.
Torrance Hodgson
Torrance is our 'head of drupal' with a passion for writing lean, clean code. Prior to working with Fuzion his biggest Drupal project was for indymedia.org.nz. He also hase significant experience in other areas of web development, such as semantic and standards compliant HTML, advanced CSS styling, frontend javascript using the jQuery library, and LAMP-stack management.
We also work closely with the following collaborators.
Chris Burgess
Chris is the giant robot and provides the PHP, mySQL and sysadmin skills required for our projects. Chris' work has included contributions in the areas of JS Error Logger, Question Captcha, CiviCRM access controls, CiviCRM_Error module for Drupal, LoginToboggan and passphrase (drupal patch), Scriptlet for Aquamacs support in Slife and Google Sitemaps Exclusion for WordPress.
Katie Graham
Katie is delicious mint and has contributed her great theming skills to several of our major projects and rebuilding flash products from abandoned sites that needed restoring.
Michael Dance
Michael is an itinerant Drupal developer who splits his time between Auckland NZ, and Canada, not surprisingly, usually heading to the hemisphere that has the most sun. Michael has turned out numerous custom modules, often leaping ahead of where we were aiming for be delivering more than was expected.
